Hi, as ColorOptimist, I come here because the thumbnail as very cute and good. It's right the double gameplay is cool, and It also reminds me of Ice Climber, its a good base. In fact, I think it would be a good idea to move more towards that style of level design, a vertical gameplay, is not used that much.
Since I couldn't work today, and your thumbnail inspired me,
I made this :
What do you think? He is no perfect, but he is but it's man-made.
I think it corresponds quite well to your thumbnail and so to your intention. This might be a good fit for you?
In any case, good luck with the rest!I picked to play your game because I thought the thumbnail was so adorable! I like the double fox control mechanic. Reminds me of "Ice Climbers". Controlling them is tricky, you must be very strategic and patient to get them through the levels. Controlling two foxes was more of a caution factor for me than a mechanic that accomplished any purpose other than to fit the "Connection" theme (even though I found the mirroring character control interesting). You can navigate through all of the levels with the "I" Button to get to the end screen. I had fun jumping around. I wish you had added some music, because I feel like this needed some cutesy fox music to go with the sound effects. I would have liked to see more breakable blocks, that would have made the world feel more engaging. Breaking the blocks was a great feel and I liked the little star power up. I think between loading levels, the game could benefit from pausing the player's controls. Just my feedback for being able to move right away in the next scene after it transitions, making it feel like a single endless level. I feel that further development with this project would greatly benefit with more destructible blocks, as that felt to have the strongest impact for me. And if you would be able to take that art from the thumbnail and learn that style and apply it to the look of the game, it would carry the game further.
